Cherry Tomatoes

The weather is very humid and a storm is on the way.  If we get rain it will prolong this humidity for another week.  I enjoy the rain and hope it will keep everything growing but could do without the humidity.
I picked the cherry tomatoes today and they were a hit with the wife.  It is very rewarding to plant cherry tomatoes as they produce so well.  My raspberries are coming in a little early and I don't know why.  They normally would produce late August and through September in cooler temps.  They seem to be stressed in the heat of July so they are not as good this year.  I hope they keep producing throughout the fall and maybe they will taste better.

Well I have uploaded  another picture of my tomatoes and you can see I have a fan in the house.

Garden Delights

Well, here it is another year and time has flown. The pictures here are just a few of the garden highlights that now reside in my backyard. The tomatoes are black cherry and I have robbed this plant for the last month or so. The fruit is sweet and juicy. The ripe cherry is more a deep purple when ready and delicious!

The roses are red..not sure the name but the plant seems to have had the best color yet. It may be because I empty the water from the ice cream we made the last three times in two weeks. Salt water is good for the roses. I have put epson salt on the plants in the past and maybe more is better. I will continue this until something changes.

This is a tropical plant that was a bulb I planted about three years ago. It can produce a bloom when mature but I have yet to see any yet. It is a fast grower and has a nice verigated look on the stalks. I hope to see it bloom but we may not be in the right zone to see it mature.

Lastly I have something different to show in the way of outdoor design. I started on this project early spring and have only got the bare bones competed. This pizza oven is something I have had on my to do list for sometime now and I am excited about having it in the works. Sooner if not later I am hoping to have a hot pizza ready for consumption. Wood fired pizza of the Italian cuisine is what I crave. I am slow in getting it finished as I have had zero energy after work to lay the last of the brickwork. My masterpiece may be my undoing. Time will tell.
